2016 Turkish horror filmmaker Can Evrenol gave us a nightmarish arthouse fantasy horror Baskin at Horror Channel Frightfest Glasgow. The movie divided audiences many enjoying the Bava/Argento tone many wasn't sure what to say. With Toronto Film Festival only a few weeks away Everenol will be returning to the Canadian festival with his follow up movie Housewife.
If you enjoy David Cronenberg, Clive Barker, Dario Argento, you'll enjoy the movies of Evrenol. You'll also need a strong stomach as he's not scared to test you'll metal too or as Billy Conolly used to say 'Talking to Hughie and Ralph talking to God on the big white telephone'.Extreme is the word and if your watching this trailer, watch it in private as this is not suitable for work (NSFW).
Blood Disgusting brought the first trailer and here's their description of Housewife: “Holly’s childhood was a nightmare—at age 7, she watched her mother kill her sister and father. Twenty years later, Holly’s dreams remain plagued by that painful memory. An unexpected reunion with an old friend further complicates matters, introducing Holly to a strange cult-like group that follows a celebrity psychic, one who takes a special liking to Holly. And because of him, her worst nightmares become shockingly real.”
Gory, stylish and sexy are words we're hearing describing this movie, all we advised is if you choose to watch this with a full stomach, choose your meal wisely!
